چکیده

In the previous work our research group introduced an exact solution to the Hammerstein system and is known as H-BEST (Hammerstein BlockOriented Exact Solution Technique). It was later expanded to multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) Hammerstein and Wiener (W-BEST) systems. This work is extends this approach to more complicated block-oriented systems, namely a Hammerstein-Wiener process. By exploiting a closed form solution, the proposed method has the major advantages of being simple to build and implement the model, and does not require a complex algorithm or solution to a difficult optimization problem. The method is evaluated and compared to another method. With a slower sampling rate, the proposed method is shown to provide a higher level of predictive accuracy.

Parametric Versus Nonparametric Approach to Wiener Systems Identification

The problem of nonlinear dynamic systems modelling by means of block-oriented models has been strongly elaborated for the last four decades, due to vast variety of applications. The concept of block-oriented models assumes that the real plant, as a whole, can be treated as a system of interconnected blocks, static nonlinearities (N) and linear dynamics (L), where the interaction signals cannot ...

Three-dimensional elasticity solution for vibrational analysis of thick continuously graded sandwich plates with different boundary conditions using a two-parameter micromechanical model for agglomeration

An equivalent continuum model based on the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach was employed to estimate the effective constitutive law for an elastic isotropic medium (i.e., the matrix) with oriented straight carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The two-dimensional generalized differential quadrature method was an efficient and accurate numerical tool for discretizing equations of motion and for implementing vari...

Wiener-Hammerstein system identification with non-Gaussian input

The paper addresses the problem of non-parametric estimation of the static characteristic in Wiener-Hammerstein (sandwich) system excited and disturbed by random processes. A new, kernel-like method is presented. The proposed estimate is consistent under small amount of a priori information. An IIR dynamics, non-invertible static non-linearity, and non-Gaussian excitations are admitted. The con...

Blockwise Subspace Identification for Active Noise Control

In this paper, a subspace identification solution is provided for Active Noise Control (ANC) problems. The solution is related to so-called block updating methods, where instead of updating the (feedforward) controller on a sample by sample base, it is updated each time based on a block of N samples. The use of the subspace identification based ANC methods enables non-iterative derivation and u...

Experiment Designs for Control-Oriented MIMO Identification

In this paper, guidelines for designing inputs for control-oriented identification of multivariable systems are given. The information needed for design of inputs such as double rectangular pulses, pseudo-random sequences (PRBS), and multi-sinusoidal signals can be obtained from a simple step test. Such a step test also gives accurate information about the directionality properties of the syste...
